The ConCord is a rehabilitation and training method which allows your horse to walk in optimal  balance. A solution for injuries, agitation and every other situation where you are not able to ride your horse!

Mieke Verdonk developed the ConCord as a rehabilitation method because a lot of horse owners have a problem walking their horse calmly and savely during a rehabilitation period. The horse gets too energetic and this has an adverse effect on the recovery of the illness or injury. The method can be applied to chronic diseases like navicular, spavin and ergot arthritis. But also arthritis in the back and kissing spines, several forms of lameness, muscle injuries, recovery after an operation, physical problems and it also works to bridge the period during rehabilitation.

The ConCord has a beneficial effect on horses is also suitable for healthy horses in addition to daily training

It is important to protect a lame or injured horse against hurting itself if the horse needs a period of walking as a means of rest and recovery. In this walking period horses are often not doing enough to use up the gained energy levels. This can result in uncontrollable behavior by which the horse can hurt himself, his leader or aggravate the injury. The ConCord Leader can ease the horse because how it is positioned on the horse; it activates three stimulus; skin, neck and mouth. The pulley gradually divides the tension on these three points. The method contributes to maintaining to built up muscles and stimuli the reflexes of the horse to lengthen his top line.
